Clackamette Youth Ballet

The Clackamette Youth Ballet (CYB) is dedicated to youth, ages 6 through 21, interested in the art of ballet. The company was formed in 1995 by teacher/choreographer Jacquie Kunzman of Oregon City to provide young dancers with an opportunity to perform on stage and work in a professional theater setting.  In 1996, CYB successfully staged Scenes From the Nutcracker.  By 1997, they were able to present the full Nutcracker ballet.  This tradition has continued through 2007. 

    This year’s performance of The Nutcracker features talented dancers and actors from various communities in the area. CYB’s staging of this holiday classic brings to the community an exceptional cultural program that is as entertaining as it is musically and visually exciting.
